Introducing Facebook Product Ads

Facebook has just announced the upcoming launch of product ads, probably one of the most anticipated features for online retailers and definitely this week’s industry headline.

You may already be familiar with the concept of product ads, whether as consumer or as a marketer, and across other channels such as Google Adwords shopping ads and display banner ads.

Having the opportunity to promote individual products with the advanced demographic targeting settings facebook has to offer is invaluable.

Many of our clients who run e-commerce stores know exactly who their target audience is.
Looking at their Google Analytics demographics data, their facebook page insights or simply through their client database, we can determine exactly which demographic groups tend to buy more, and of which products or product categories.

A little more about the facebook product ads:

  • You can run single-product or multi-products ads
  • The ad contains both textual and graphic content
  • Ads will deeplink through directly to the page of the product promoted in the ad
  • You can retarget visitors from your website or those who have shown an interest in a particular product category for added relevancy

These ads are being rolled out as we speak and more details will be released over the next few weeks.

Every year, several of our clients redesign their websites.

When this happens, there’s a lot to think about.

  • SEO. How do we smoothly transition rankings and traffic?
  • Ad campaigns. Are we updating ad copy, URLs, tracking?
  • Conversion rates. Can we make sure the new site converts better than the old?

Most checklists online (and books) only cover website redesign from one perspective, e.g. SEO. That’s great but incomplete.

None cover SEO, PPC and CRO, together, in a digestible way.

Which is why we needed to create this.

It contains the top 30 highest-priority items to consider packed into two easy-to-print pages. It’s perfect for guiding your team and agency.
